Malliees

Privacy & safety

Mallie is a daily check-in for aging parents. Here is what that means for your parent, and what it doesn’t.

Mallie is an AI, and says so

Your parent is told they’re speaking with an AI in the first call, and any time they ask. Mallie never pretends to be a person.

Nothing starts without your parent’s agreement

Mallie only begins calling once your parent has agreed to it. They can stop the calls whenever they want, by telling Mallie or by asking you to pause them.

Not a medical service

Mallie isn’t a doctor, a nurse or a medical device. She doesn’t diagnose or treat anything, and she never tells your parent what medication to take or how much.

Not an emergency service

Mallie isn’t an emergency service and shouldn’t be relied on to detect emergencies. If your parent tells Mallie about an apparent emergency during a conversation, Mallie may encourage them to call 911 and may notify you. If you believe your parent is in danger, call 911 directly.

Their conversations

Calls are recorded and transcribed so Mallie can remember what your parent told her and write your update. Your parent is told this before the first call.

A small authorized team may review a limited number of conversations for quality and safety. Access is restricted and every review is logged. Conversations are never sold to advertisers.

You choose which family members receive updates. To have conversations deleted, email hola@heymila.care.
